Municipalities own a lot of buildings, and keeping them all in good shape is a big job.
IK-Bygg looked at how digital services could make it easier to manage and maintain them.
I came in early, helping map needs and figure out which way to go.

Challenge
In the early phase, nothing is settled. What do users need? What does the organisation need? What are we actually trying to achieve, and where could we go from here?
What I did
- Mapped user and business needs
- Helped make goals concrete and outline possible directions
- Planned and facilitated cross-disciplinary workshops
Early days
My job was to help get from a broad idea to something more concrete: clearer goals, and a few possible directions worth exploring further.
Early-phase work is about asking good questions before anyone commits to answers. Getting people from different disciplines in the same room is one of the best ways to find them.
